A problem with sound playback and volume control, that I had been putting off for some while, is finally solved now.
GameMaker does have very unreliable sound handling (at least for me), but luckily someone in the community was able to fix that.

Now the player does not only have control over sound volume in different categories (music, effects, voice - as it should be), but I can also manipulate sound frequency - which gives a great effect when speeding up or slowing down gamespeed.

Are there still many things to do or could you say that you have cleared the biggest issues?
Because it's really hard for us or at least for me to hear about all the new features without being able to try them out. :D

is the frequency changing going to affect music and effects/voices indedpendantly? or will it do so equally? i'd rather the latter, if only because it allows us to enjoy the music as we play XD

I have fixed the biggest issues, but that doesnt say anything about how long its still going to take ;)

The frequenzy changes dont t affect the music. You are right, that would be bad.
Oh, and I forgot: the music is streaming now - saving some additional precious memory...
