So when a crew member is told to wait for a specific period of time, in what unit is that? Seconds? (E.g. Wait 240 in the Engine Room).

It would be better if the wait period was displayed in seconds and minutes, in the same way that the mission timer is in seconds and minutes. That way, the player can instantly relate to the time periods, rather than performing base 60 math every time a wait period exceeds 60 seconds.
