it sounds kind of mundane, but I think its important for frustration-free experimentation in ship design: unlimited undo steps!

I replaced the old procedure, and now it is possible to undo all room placements, movements and deletions (except exterior hatches) right back to the first room.
And yes, its Ctrl+Z now (or Ctrl+whateverkeyyoulike) ;)

XD mundane as it may be ctrl+Z is probably the most well known shortcut in the intarwebz, having this is just plain good XD

hmm perhaps of the placement requirements. so you have to also restore the room next to the hach...
maybe if they are melt together... it is jet only possible to place next to hull ==> is it possible to place the hatch right on?

Considering the logical way peopel area likely to build is. Internal rooms then external hatches I'm not sure it's a problem.

build room > build hatch = no problem redo

build room > build hatch > delete room > auto delete hatch = redo problem if a single hatch is a problem
