I "updated" the ship´s computer: It used to tell you, for example: "Malfunction on Level B1, Room Onehundredandtelve", which was not helpful at all ;)
It now says: "..Malfunction on Level B1, Bridge", or (if there are more rooms of the same type): "Malfunction on Level B2, Fueltank 3".

that's going to help a lot with command and control XD I can just imagine trying to figure out and memorizing which rooms the computer ment before this tweak XD

that's great idea - more easier to find the room that is broken

elevators could broken as well on all levels till repair can be done

Stairways - this would be rarely broken (only lights can break)

depends on the size of the asteroid ;P

and frankly, it would just be simpler for the stairway to break like a normal room, this way the stairway above would just be a dead end until the one beneath (or vice versa) is repaired

in real life - the minor breakages like lights going out or broken lights will not make dead end - only if major damage like huge fire or structure damage (stairs collapse) will turn dead end till repaired
