Well, that's only possible for air-vents. Or did you ever try to crawl trough a fuel filled pipe? :lol:

Though this would make things more complicated in the programing,

give the various things a size variable.

0= gas
1= smaller than man
2= man size
3= bigger than man size
4= twice as big as man size

Then you could have fun with those smaller creatures moving around in places that humans couldn't

corridors should allow 3 and less, size 4 can move at 1/2 speed in corridors unless special built
airlocks the same
vents 2 or less (and that size 2 moves at half speed)
