hey there i saw this game on steam greenlight and noticed a galaxy map screenshot. I was wondering if you would be able to tell me about how it will work or the concept around it?

Actually, I can´t tell you how it will work, because I haven´t planned it out yet. ;)
I liked how the routes are set up in Starship Tycoon and The Patrician, so maybe I will do something like that. I am open for suggestions - would would you like?

maybe something like MOO3 (only one ive played :D ) or sins, certain systems connect nearby ones so you could create stronghold crossroad systems for trade or plain old miltary defence

I would like to suggest Hyperspace lanes similar to Star Wars where gravity wells prevent ships flying near them, least they get pulled ou of hyperspace or sucked into spacial anomalies such as a black hole.

Keep in mind that the game isn't really going to be a 4X game. It seems (or at least to me) to be more of an economic sim than a RTS.

My suggestion would be to keep the "Corporate feel" from the Shipyard into the system map. So I'd say use the Galactic map (Either as is, or more localised to the Peruses Arm) to set up trade routs, and as a monitoring tool to see where ships/fleets are, and how your "sphere of influence" is growing in terms of being able to achieve a monopoly.
