When I press escape, it of course, brings up the "Do you want to go to the main menu?" dialogue box. When I press escape again, it just flashes this box at me. Pressing escape again to close the main menu is, for me, a fundamental of good game design; that, and it's always been that way in games I've played, until now. Since closing the menu with the escape button is such an ingrained habit, while it sounds stupid, I end up pressing the escape button about five times, frustration growing, until I realize that I'm going to have to move the mouse all the way over to that little cancel button. I prefer keyboard shortcuts because I can press them so much faster than a virtual button with the mouse.

Also, I like to close a program with alt-f4, since so many games only have "Quit to main menu", resulting in having to wait for that menu to load before I can return to the desktop. However, with SC, it just summons the "Are you sure you want to return to the office?" dialogue box, which is annoying.

I thought about posting this in the bugs section, but it's not a bug, exactly, just something in the area of user friendliness that could do with some improving.

Yeah, that and clearing the selection you're currently using. Until you look up that it's spacebar to clear. Soooo used to ESC being the "clear all"

I still make that mistake once in a while.
