Why my crew don't fight for survival during asteroid attack? Especially, when my ship have cannons or missiles?
Or, you think, main weapon in this case only thrusters?
And, of course, all type of weapons must attack oncoming asteroids on all levels - it must not be so, that cannon on level B1 attack only
oncoming asteroids on level B1.

Would a normal Asteroid if hitted by a cannon not break in two smaller asteroids ?

i think in conflict freespace there was a mission to protect a main carrier with a small fighter by blasting asteroids. it was impossible to get throgh without damage.
so it dosen't matter much if they shoot and even 1 shield is overpowerd in 1 or 2 min by the great numbers.
but it would be a nice for the scenario and gameplay experience.
