- Before clicking "Start Mission", the player can activate any of the various alerts. Ending the alert causes a dialog box to appear, asking whether the player wishes to end the mission.

- During the mission, the player can change the alert type to other than yellow. This breaks the recording process, (it will not be saved).

- While crew positions are recorded at the end of a successful "Yellow Alert" mission attempt, the crew ignores the activation of a yellow alert during any other mission. Currently, it only sets the starting position of crew for the "Asteroid Field" mission. Looking at the way in which crew positions are stored in the save file, it suggests a very placeholder level of development at this stage.
