- "Yellow Alert" mission cannot be completed without a medic onboard.
- Hatches still draw power even when manually switched off during a mission. But they do not draw power when the power supply to the room is lost. Since they have no effect on ship performance, do most hatches just represent a waste of generator energy? And, therefore, players would just switch them all off for extra power? The same applies to other auxilliary rooms (e.g. landing gear, cargo bay).
- When a crew member is already on patrol, the "Return to Patrol" action is always present as an available order.
- How much in mission time is a wait action at length 100? How much at 150?
- If there are more crew of a given type, (e.g. military), than characters to choose from, the game repeatedly selects the same character. This can result in crew quarters composed entirely of a group of clones.
- When a hull breach occurs, the whole deck suddenly loses all air supply. Are all the doors permanently open and nobody thinks to close any of them? It takes weld-sealing a door just to keep the air in!
- The Emergency Bridge is for emergencies. Shouldn't the power for it be off by default? While powered on, it requires constant maintenance.
