Post subject: | Error with lift |
I met two error with the same design today, I wonder if they are linked? (Error 1) I built a ship on the 5 deck hull and I have an elevator (Lift 1) going from deck 4 to 5 (the top deck is 5 for this text) and another one (Lift 2) going all the way from deck 1 to 4. I exported the ship, all is fine and doing well and I tried it and then wanted to change the design. When loading the design it tells me there is an error with an unknown room. (Error 2) Then I tried another crew management mission with the ship, and at some point I run in the error that a lift is wrong somewhere. I noticed that while preparing my TEC patrols, one of them was saying it would use Lift 1 in its patrol design (the red line) to go down from Deck 4 to 3 and Lift 2 to come back up. Could there be a link between the 2 error and a bug with lifts where they try to use one to go down though it does not? Thus saying there is an unknown lift and a wrong room placement? Following is the error code and my ship design. Error 1 : Code: ___________________________________________ ERROR in action number 1 of Collision Event with object obj_mark_links_oben for object obj_mark_links_unten: Error in code at line 3: if other.master.room_type = t_corr ^ at position 21: Unknown variable room_type Error 2: Code: ___________________________________________
ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event for object obj_unit: In script activate_lift: Error in code at line 18: if aktueller_raum.stairway = false ^ at position 27: Unknown variable stairway |

I had similar issue (been playing through wine, which btw, works pretty fine, but naturally i would prefer a native linux version) It came to such end that i couldn't play any crew management, w/o a lift (error 2) and when suddenly i couldn't open my project at all w/o an (error 1) crashing it I tried modifying the the prj file by comparing how an empty project with a lift was saved to my "complete" one anyhow object of name=148 got a connection to an object of type name=153 (while in the empty project it is connected to itself), so after changing that, the prj file loaded (as it should?) As well, I managed to actually finish a crew management mission w/o incident but it did however still report (error 2) after the mission was finished, so maybe it was still a matter of time, I suspect this is an issue from moving a lift around in the the design phase |
