Post subject:  Ship construction (GP)

After having played around with the editor I have noticed a few oddities in the ship construction part of the game.
The GUI was a bit confusing at first but it didn't take long to get acquainted with, I hadn't noticed the 'messages' part of the GUI though without the 22 minute tutorial...
Ok, the audio, bleeps and stuff are getting annoying, however the audio's are probably easy to change once the game gets further in development.

Controls..
Spacebar to deselect is very counter intuitive, spacebar to rotate however is more intuitive, or leftmouse drag.
Then use right mouse button to deselect, it is after all the button used to remove 'built' compartments.

Having placed a generator you connect it by holding shift and dragging?
Too confussing, leftmouse and drag should be all that is needed.
And suddenly left mouse is used to destroy, not just build??
Nononono... Right click connections to remove them, just like you would rightclick a built compartment to remove it.
Or perhpas rightmouse drag to remove connection, or rightclick the connection in the screen, not GUI, to remove it, or all, or some of the suggestions.

Building corridores also seems confusing, it should be possible to click at one place and just drag out a corridor from there, lifts and doors should then be placeable on the corridor, would make more sense this way for ordinary people.

Just what I have so far, I'll post more as I play more. =)

P.S.
This is ment as constructive critizism =)
A helping hand in polishing up features =)

Hi,

I second all this points.

I think sounds should be smoother.

First button of the mouse to do, second to undo, third to rotate (if it is a wheel up to rotate right, and downto rotate left) would be great.

PS : You're alpha is really good, can't wait to see more ;)
