I want the ability to create a computer virus upload it to the enemy ship. The virus used for specific task anything from turning auto defence turrets turning on its own crew, ships or plotting the enemy ships coarse into say a sun. Apologies didnt see the weapon defence thread untill after i posted. |

how would it get uploaded to the enemy ship? I would imagine it would have a firewall and the only way to get pass that is with a connection inside the enemyship unless you can someway get into there network. |

I would imagine he internal network would be secure. Realistically its unlikely that say a warship is going to have remote access especially not to its main systems. The only way to access would be to hard jack into the systems itself. So really what you want is a cloked ninja spy über hacker who can teleport. I will phone dynamo

the "ninja spy über hacker" could be a SBS Unit. (special forces that infiltrate ships by using a kind of stealth jetpack to avoid detection). Could be fun to give them a special ability to "upload a virus" if you have been able to successfully sneak into the computer core instead of just blowing things up. |

Or it is a special attack unit that you send with the boarding party. Instead of having to capture the bridge this unit has to make to engineering or the power plant, stay there for x seconds with out being attacked and the virus is uploaded Depending on the quality of the virus (how much you spend on that unit) versus the quality of the ships computers determines if the virus is successful. Maybe have a computer room as an optional room. Dave Chase |

Computer room can't be optional. But maybe an assault engineer or combat engineer would be a more realistic idea. Be could go wih a pistol and a laptop say. |
