When trying to find a space for a room that connects two decks, it would be useful to be able to view both decks at once, overlaid on top of each other, to see where the rooms overlap.

This is a pertanent idea. It's frustrating place a lift some times.
The overlay should be up and down spending on the way the item is placed.

this could be done quite easy, I will try that

If you can just add to when placing a life or stairs to red out the blocks when stuff is built higher or lower
