after one hour of trying there is -8400 left deleting all unnessecary door, optimizing grids etc.

actually, I don't think that matters so much, I mean, the only purpose of the tutorial is to train the player in ship construction since I doubt the player is meant to obtain any monetary gain from the tutorial it shouldn't matter if that particular design goes over or not

the tutorial should be a round thing:
-no anoying mistakes
-a usable design for the standard mission
-nothing that frustrates from the beginning

the good sides of the tutorial are the teaching of roomplacement and conections.

have you tried the standart mission with tutorial ship? quite difficult.
