also it seems after the latest update, 2 files are or were missing, as running the steam validation check after the update added two missing files so restarted the test from here, as above may be wrong with files / data missing etc |

again, loaded game, started game on a new save, and after what seemed like a few mins, game was broken with same message, exited steam, and re validated files again, and again it says 2 are missing, seems the game version is corrupting the game in some way? |

just testing the theory out tbh, but it seems the inbuilt cheats are maybe what's giving me the errors, as if i just edit the saves, i'm not getting these which i can get if i use the cheat commands in game? but will know more later and post findings |

Quote: thank you for the reports! please also send me your Local.db Here are the cheats to help you with testing (sorry, for not telling you earlier): Alt-U All tech unlocked Ctrl+M add 10.000 mBTC Alt+M subtract 10.000 mBTC using these in game leads to files needing validating once used in steam for me, where as my manual attempts at save editing doesn't as i'm only giving myself more money to buy all tech / research etc, i think i'll carry on with my method as this way i'm not getting the errors seen with the inbuilt cheats used i'm sorry to report, no idea why either, unless it's a windows 10 permissions thing? so tested on that, and now testing with win 10 compatibility mode for win7, admin permission plus dpi off for app regarding scaling etc imo game looks better, as i use high dpi 150 not default dpi of 96, which is on a 1920x1080 display size and now atm runs more stable for me will post settings screenshots as soon as board lets me |

went into crew management and loaded a ship and auto all for the advanced template ship and that worked fine, then tried to load another and do the same thing, this time on the normal one and got the message above |

seems to have hung the game with 1700mb of memory in use at the time, so not a high load either |
