Building captains quarters and hiring a captain will significantly improve the crews´ moral and the ships´ performance.

Nice, but captain quarters is to big for small hulls. What about make for Yanmori 2 and smaller hulls captain quarters in size 4x3 (medium pilot quarters) or 3x3.

This smaller rooms can by only usable in specific hulls and not on bigger ships. You can make more rooms specific to hulls, it allows us make small frigates and corvettes.

And one more question, can you give us ETA for next beta?:)

Thanks

I will figure out (with your help), what the best size for the captains quarters is, when there are more fuselages and design missions available.
Don´t worry, the existing missions goals will be adjusted to fit all the new stuff that you have to build now - and hiring a captain is optional - it wont be necessary (and profitable) to hire one for a small postal delivery shuttle ;)

no ETA, sorry - its done when its done...

glad to see the most important person on the ship is reporting for duty (optionally) now XD

as for size of the room, i think it's fair to say that the captain's quarters need only be twice the size of the smallest crew room available, afterall, it IS only one person we are talking about here, no reason for this guy to have a whole tennis court in his own damn room! XD

Don't forget, if you put the word in the game or on the website, it's "morale" not "moral"

you could have a cap quarters the save size as a 1 man quarters it would be cheap, but your caption

will not do a very good job. Or you could have a large cabin with privet office (passably including a

personal AI Secretary). Now that would give bonus to your captions skills. The negative or bonus

skill could be the percentage of the ships square space it takes plus that rooms set bonus level.
The smallest cap cabin could be a -10 bonus but in the small hull it gets +10 for being 5% of the

total squares used. So there is a +0 bonus to your caption skill. The next size up has a set -8 and

is 10% with a +20. So you get a +12 to your cap skill. You just have to always remember haw much money

and space can you spare for your caption. There also could be high level captions demand a larger

cabin. That would keep you from putting an admiral level caption on a small cargo ship. Just thing

if you spent 20 years getting as good of a caption as you are. Would you work for a company that put

you in the captions seat on a cramped little nothing of a cargo ship.

P.S. You could also have a negative bonus for to far away from the bridge.
